Who issues refunds
Merchants sell directly to shoppers, so merchants issue refunds. Find Local Merchants facilitates the request and steps in when a merchant doesn't respond.
Cancellations
- Before a merchant accepts an order: cancel for a full refund.
- After acceptance but before fulfillment: cancellation is at the merchant's discretion.
- Perishable and made-to-order items may not be cancellable once production starts.
Problems with an order
If an item is missing, damaged, or not as described, open a request from your order page and include photos. Merchants are asked to respond within a set window; if they don't, support reviews the case.
Non-refundable situations
- Pickup orders not collected within the merchant's published window.
- Change of mind on perishable goods after handoff.
- Delivery failures caused by an incorrect address you provided.
How refunds are paid
Approved refunds return to the original payment method through the payment provider. Timing depends on your bank.
Disputes
Email hello@findlocalmerchants.com if you and the merchant can't reach an outcome. Refund decisions and adjustments are recorded in our audit log.
